These aren't niche players. They're hospitality giants like Hilton serving "over 4 billion guests," healthcare systems like CVS Health with "300,000 dedicated colleagues," global banks like BBVA with "71.5 million customers," and logistics leaders like DB Schenker managing worldwide supply chains. They build physical products (automotive parts, building materials, HVAC systems), deliver essential services (utilities, healthcare, education), and operate retail networks spanning hundreds of locations.

These are overwhelmingly mature enterprises. My analysis shows the majority have 1,000+ employees, with many exceeding 10,000. Several are publicly traded with post-IPO funding rounds, while others represent established institutions like universities, government entities, and century-old family businesses. The funding stages (when listed) cluster around debt financing, post-IPO equity, and private equity, not venture capital Series A or B rounds.
